Heavy Vehicle Technician [SL]

Key Responsibilities • Conduct inspection, troubleshooting, testing and diagnosis of heavy vehicles, including lorries, trucks and tankers. • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and servicing of vehicles. • Carry out repair and maintenance work in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, technical specifications and company procedures. • Identify vehicle faults and recommend appropriate repair or maintenance solutions. • Ensure completed repair and maintenance work meets required safety, quality and operational standards. • Maintain good housekeeping and safe working practices within the workshop and work areas. • Identify opportunities to improve vehicle maintenance processes and workshop practices. • Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Requirements • Possess a valid Class 3 driving licence. • Forklift licence/certification would be an advantage where relevant to the role. • Basic proficiency in English to understand work instructions, maintenance documentation and communicate with relevant personnel. • 1–2 years of relevant experience in automotive servicing, vehicle maintenance or repair. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. • Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn new technical skills and procedures. • Ability to take responsibility for assigned tasks and complete work in accordance with established requirements. • Ability to identify maintenance issues and recommend practical improvements. • Comfortable working in outdoor or on-site environments where required by operational needs.
