Project ManagementRoot Cause Analysis
Scope of Work & Responsibilities for M&E Engineer:
• Manage the technical, engineering and operational aspects of electrical and ACMV systems.
• Plan and oversee preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Manage projects, upgrades, replacement and improvement works.
• Provide technical direction to technicians and contractors.
• Ensure systems are safe, reliable, compliant and operating efficiently.
Main Responsibilities
Engineering & Technical
• Review electrical and ACMV system designs, drawings and specifications.
• Carry out or review engineering calculations.
• Select appropriate equipment and technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot complex system problems.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for major or recurring failures.
• Recommend system improvements and energy-saving measures.
• Review testing and commissioning results.
Project Management
• Plan and manage maintenance and improvement projects.
• Prepare specifications, scope of work and technical requirements.
• Review quotations and technical submissions.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Monitor project cost, schedule, quality and progress.
• Manage testing, commissioning and handover.
Operations & Maintenance
• Develop and monitor preventive-maintenance programmes.
• Monitor equipment performance and reliability.
• Review maintenance reports and breakdown trends.
• Plan major shutdowns and maintenance activities.
• Ensure critical equipment has appropriate contingency arrangements.
Management & Compliance
• Supervise Senior Technicians/Technicians and contractors.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, authorities and other departments.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and safety requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, budgets and maintenance plans.
• Manage risks and ensure safe execution of works.
