Staff Nurse – Patient Care [WCAN]

• Assess patients’ nursing care needs and provide appropriate nursing care in accordance with medical orders and hospital procedures. • Educate patients and their families on relevant aspects of care and provide appropriate emotional and psychosocial support. • Comply with hospital policies, nursing standards, clinical guidelines and established best practices. • Maintain a safe, therapeutic and patient-centred care environment at all times. • Provide timely updates to the Senior Nurse Manager, Nurse Manager and doctor regarding patients’ conditions, treatment, interventions and care outcomes. • Provide guidance, supervision and mentorship to new and junior nursing staff. • Promote effective communication, collaboration and teamwork within the nursing and healthcare teams.
