Radiology Nurse [WCAN]

• Provide nursing support and care within the Diagnostic Imaging Department and Cardiovascular Laboratory (CVL), in accordance with established clinical procedures and standards. • Participate in the Code Blue Team and provide appropriate nursing support during cardiac arrest or other emergencies within the Department and CVL. • Assist Radiologists, Cardiologists and other Specialists during diagnostic imaging and invasive procedures, within the scope of professional practice. • Perform peripheral intravenous cannulation for contrast examinations as directed by the appropriate medical practitioner and in accordance with established procedures. • Prepare sterile trolleys and ensure the required equipment, instruments and accessories are available and appropriately set up for Diagnostic Imaging and CVL procedures. • Perform newborn hearing screening and electrocardiogram (ECG) procedures in accordance with established protocols. • Ensure patients complete the appropriate consent documentation for special examinations and procedures, and provide relevant procedural information and reassurance within the scope of the nursing role. • Perform other relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager.
