Global Facilities Project Engineer

Responsibilities: • Lead and manage the new construction project planning process. • Establish project objectives, scope and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and ensuring alignment with user requirements. • Prepare new project Space, Cost & schedule report & long-term plan reports for management review. • Develop and manage initial project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery. • Maintain effective communication with project team members and respective stakeholders to provide project updates/ reporting, address concerns and foster strong working relationships between team members. • Ensure Roles, Responsibilities and Accountabilities are fully understood by the project team members. • Collect, classify, and evaluate data and information used in supporting the Micron new construction project planning evaluation request. Required Skills and Qualifications • The candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field from a recognised institute of higher learning. • Experience in Project Program management / Planning / Schedule Control is highly valued. • Minimum 3 years’ experience in project management. • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, Construction Project management software, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills • Good analytical skills with problem solving aptitude. • Ability to integrate, work collaboratively and proactively in a team environment. • Able to complete projects in a timely manner. • Relevant professional certification in project management or construction management, like Project Management Professional (PMP) or LEED certification. • Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements. • Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work. Minimum Experience & Skills: • 3 years’ experience in large-scale construction projects, preferably in Semiconductor Fab construction or related Facilities construction in high tech/ Pharmaceutical/ Oil & Gas industries.= • Demonstrable experience in the Construction or Semiconductor Project Management and/or other relevant industries is strongly preferred. • Strong financial understanding and experience in project cost estimate/ budgeting/ cost control. • Proven track record of successful project delivery. • Knowledge of local construction regulations, permits and approval processes will be highly valued. • Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to visualize issues and communicate them clearly to others. • Strong organization, coordination, and leadership skills – ability to coordinate and motivate stakeholders from different departments and background. • Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and proactively in a team environment.
