ENGINEER, DESIGN (MECHANICAL)

• Location: Woodlands • Working Hours: 5.5 days per week (Mon to Fri: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM, Sat: 8:00 AM – 12:30 PM) • Willingness to commit to extended hours • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply Job Responsibilities • Assist in mechanical design and project coordination for semiconductor and high-tech construction projects • Support the design and engineering of mechanical systems, including HVAC, chilled water, ventilation, exhaust, and other mechanical building services • Perform basic engineering calculations, equipment sizing, pressure drop calculations, and preparation of mechanical layouts • Prepare, review, and coordinate mechanical drawings, specifications, technical documents, and design submissions • Assist in the selection and specification of mechanical equipment such as AHUs, FCUs, pumps, fans, chillers, and associated systems • Coordinate with electrical, civil, architectural, process, and other engineering disciplines to ensure proper design integration • Support installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems • Review vendor and contractor technical submissions and coordinate equipment delivery and site requirements • Attend technical discussions, coordination meetings, and site inspections as required • Ensure mechanical designs and works comply with applicable Singapore regulations, project specifications, safety requirements, and relevant engineering codes and standards • Assist in resolving design and site coordination issues throughout the project lifecycle • Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned Requirements • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field • Relevant experience in mechanical design, building services, construction, or engineering projects is preferred • Experience in semiconductor, cleanroom, data centre, pharmaceutical, or other high-tech facility projects will be an advantage • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, or other relevant engineering/design software is preferred • Basic knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, ventilation, exhaust, piping, and mechanical building services systems • Good understanding of mechanical engineering principles and relevant safety requirements • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills • Good communication and coordination skills with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary project environment • Willingness to learn and take on increasing design and project responsibilities • The candidate must be fluent in both Mandarin and English to communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders • Candidates with relevant experience and strong technical competency may be considered for a higher position, with salary commensurate with experience and qualifications
