Technical Sales & Business Development Engineer

Job ID: 1686616 Job Summary: Drive Southeast Asia sales growth by delivering technical solutions, developing accounts, and supporting customers across the sales lifecycle. Responsibilities: • Drive revenue growth across Southeast Asia through new business development, account expansion, and achievement of sales targets. • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, business partners, and internal stakeholders. • Support the development and execution of regional sales strategies. • Prepare proposals, tenders, quotations, and related commercial documentation. • Gather and analyze customer requirements and feedback to identify business opportunities and support product improvements. • Provide pre-sales technical support, presentations, product demonstrations, and solution recommendations. • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Define product specifications and align technical solutions with customer requirements. • Coordinate post-sales activities, including product delivery, customer training, and troubleshooting. • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers throughout the sales and support process. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline. • Experience in technical sales, solution selling, or account development within the data center, telecommunications, or IT industry. • Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, telecommunications systems, or data center environments. • Experience working with contract manufacturers and managing outsourced production partners. • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in English for liaising with English-speaking clients and stakeholders. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. • Professional certification in structured cabling, data center infrastructure, or networking, such as RCDD, is an added advantage. • Experience working with hyperscale data centers, cloud service providers, telecommunications carriers, or system integrators is an added advantage. • Knowledge and experience in fiber optics, fiber optic cabling, and connectivity solutions is an added advantage. • Familiarity with Japanese business culture and working practices is an added advantage. • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
