Ophthalmic Scrub Nurse [WCAN]

• Provide perioperative nursing support to ophthalmic surgeons and the operating theatre team during eye-related surgical procedures. • Perform Scrub Nurse responsibilities in accordance with applicable clinical protocols, procedures and professional standards. • Ensure accurate, complete and timely documentation of perioperative nursing activities and patient care. • Coordinate with relevant clinical and support units to facilitate safe and seamless patient transport and transfer. • Escort, receive and orientate patients during transfers while providing appropriate support for their safety, comfort and continuity of care. • Provide post-operative recovery care and monitor patients in accordance with established nursing protocols, escalating concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals where required. • Participate in the review and continuous improvement of nursing protocols, policies and procedures. • Perform other relevant nursing responsibilities as assigned by management.
