With over 13,900 employees, Sime Motors is a leader in automotive assembly, importation, distribution, retail, and after-sales service What You’ll Be Doing As a Purchaser (Appraiser), you’ll play a key role in evaluating and acquiring pre-owned vehicles for our inventory. You’ll ensure accurate appraisals, negotiate fair purchase prices , and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and customers to support our goal of delivering quality vehicles locally and internationally. • Provide accurate appraisals for trade-in vehicles and direct purchase requests • Work closely with new and used car divisions to align on valuation strategies • Assess vehicle condition and adjust quotations based on company guidelines • Collaborate with Central Quotation and Purchasing teams to finalize valuations • Recommend competitive purchase prices for external acquisition opportunities • Liaise with customers selling their vehicles directly to Auto Selection • Ensure timely submission of appraisal paperwork and proper data entry in systems (e.g., Moby Purchase, iQuotes) • Maintain compliance with appraisal procedures and handover processes • Participate in price review and coaching sessions with Purchasing leadership • Average appraisal time: 15–20 minutes per vehicle Who We’re Looking For • 1–2 years of experience in automotive sales, purchasing, or technical roles • Post-secondary education or equivalent • Valid Class 3 driving license • Strong product knowledge and ability to perform accurate appraisals • Basic u nderstanding of vehicle mechanics and market trends • Excellent communication and negotiation skills • Proactive and detail-oriented with a passion for cars Why Join Us at Sime Motors? • Basic Salary + Attractive Commission Structure • Be part of a trusted brand with a regional footprint • Work with cutting-edge automotive technology • Grow your career in a supportive, performance-driven culture • Enjoy structured training, career progression, and employee benefits
