Sales Manager (India Beedi Market)

[Job ID: 1646715] Responsibilities • Recruit, develop, and manage a field sales team across key beedi-producing regions in India. • Establish sales KPIs, performance standards, and conversion targets to drive business growth. • Monitor field activities, including customer visits, sample distribution, and sales conversion outcomes. • Build and maintain relationships with industry intermediaries to expand market reach and customer access. • Manage key customer accounts and coordinate internal resources to deliver effective solutions. • Conduct market research on competitors, pricing trends, customer preferences, and regulatory developments. • Provide market insights to support strategic decisions relating to pricing and market expansion. • Collaborate with headquarters and regional stakeholders to ensure operational alignment and effective execution. Requirements • Bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant discipline. • Candidates with 3 years of sales experience will have an added advantage. • Proficiency in English and Hindi and/or Tamil for liaising with English-speaking and Hindi-speaking and/or Tamil-speaking clients and stakeholders. • Strong understanding of the Indian business environment or market, particularly within traditional industries such as FMCG, tobacco, or agro-processing. • Ability to travel frequently between Singapore and India for business purposes. • Experience in the tobacco, flavours & fragrances, or FMCG raw materials industry is an added advantage.
