TSSU Technician

Key accountabilities • Provides co-ordination and support to the surgical team by ensuring the availability of instrument sets, packs and consumables, including the process from decontamination to sterilization. Setting trays and consumables for procedures. • Perform decontamination, washing, cleaning, packing and sterilizing instruments and instrument sets. • Preparing instruments and instrument sets for sterilization according to established policies and procedures. • Perform biological and chemical monitoring and documentation in accordance with quality assurance standard. • Maintain adequate supply of instruments, instrument sets, packs and consumables for daily OT usage. • Maintain the integrity of the sterile instruments, instrument sets and packs from storage to usage. • Maintain cleanliness of the environment. • Perform other related duties as assigned by Manager/Nurse Manager. Qualifications & Experience • Minimum qualification GCE ‘N’ Level preferred. • At least 1-2 years related experience will be of added advantage.
