Staff Nurse (Operating Theatre – Anaesthesia Unit) #HJO

Job Responsibilities • Provide perioperative nursing care and support within the Operating Theatre. • Assist and independently support anaesthesia procedures including General Anaesthesia (GA), Local Anaesthesia (LA) and Regional Anaesthesia / Sedation. • Prepare anaesthetic equipment, medications and supplies prior to procedures. • Assist the anaesthetist during induction, maintenance and recovery from anaesthesia. • Monitor patients and respond promptly to changes in their clinical condition. • Ensure proper infection control, patient safety and OT protocols are maintained. • Maintain accurate nursing documentation and records. • Participate in on-call duties and other OT nursing responsibilities as required. Requirements • Valid registration with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) as a Registered Nurse. • Prior experience as an Anaesthesia Unit (AU) Nurse within an Operating Theatre setting is required. • Competent and able to support GA, LA and Regional Anaesthesia / Sedation independently. • Good knowledge of perioperative and anaesthesia nursing practices. • Able to work independently and effectively within the multidisciplinary OT team.
