Platform Development Manager

SimplifyNext is a Singapore-headquartered digital engineering firm, with offices in Thailand and Malaysia, working across three converged areas: agentic AI, AI-enabled application modernisation, and intelligent automation. We bring strong business process consulting together with deep technology skills and modern delivery practices – product-centric, agile and AI-assisted. We build bespoke applications and AI systems, and we go deep on the platforms our clients run on, including Microsoft, AWS, ServiceNow, Databricks and UiPath. That combination of engineering depth and platform depth is what our clients come to us for. We build and modernise the systems people depend on daily. Our 300+ practitioners are multi-disciplinary by design – business consultants, software engineers, architects, AI engineers and designers working on the same delivery, not handing off between silos. We focus on delivering outcomes for clients, building strong careers for our people, and staying ahead of the technology curve. We hire because we are growing. We are home to one of the largest certified platform engineering teams in Singapore, led by veterans who have built and scaled enterprise platforms across the region. Our OutSystems practice delivers enterprise-grade, mission-critical applications for public sector and large enterprise clients. You will work closely with senior architects and consulting leaders who focus on scalability, performance, and governance, not just low-code development. In parallel, SimplifyNext runs a strong AI and automation practice, enabling our OutSystems teams to design and deliver AI-augmented and agent-enabled workflows. If you are looking to go beyond routine application builds and work on platforms that operate at scale, this is your opportunity. What You’ll Do You will design and build enterprise-grade applications on OutSystems O11, including Reactive Web and Mobile solutions, taking strong technical ownership across the delivery lifecycle. This role involves translating business and functional requirements into robust technical designs, applying sound architectural and modular design principles to ensure scalability, performance, and long-term maintainability. In this role, you will work on integrations with enterprise platforms and systems using REST / SOAP APIs, authentication mechanisms, and event-driven patterns where applicable. You will contribute to the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines and application lifecycle management, supporting disciplined environment management, automated deployments, and reliable releases across development, test, and production environments. You will also have opportunities to work alongside SimplifyNext’s AI and automation practice, contributing to the design and delivery of AI-augmented and intelligent workflows, such as decision support, document processing, or agent-enabled user interactions, where appropriate. Throughout delivery, you will collaborate closely with architects, stakeholders, and delivery leaders, optimise application performance, uphold coding standards and security best practices, and support production readiness and continuous improvement within the OutSystems practice. What We’re Looking For We are looking for engineers with a strong ownership mindset, who take responsibility for the quality and sustainability of the solutions they build. You should be able to think architecturally, making sound design decisions rather than focusing only on screen-level implementation. This role requires comfort in balancing delivery speed with quality, security, and governance. Clear communication and the ability to work effectively with architects, stakeholders, and delivery teams are essential. Required Experience & Skills • 10+ years of development experience with at least 8 years in OutSystems development. • Solid understanding of application architecture, modular design, and performance optimization. • Agile / Scrum delivery experience. • OutSystems Professional or Expert Developer Certification (preferred, but not mandatory). • Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is a plus. Why Join Us • Competitive salary and performance bonus • Certification sponsorship with structured training and mentorship • Work on large-scale, high-impact platforms, not cookie-cutter apps • Strong engineering-led culture with senior architects and delivery leaders • Exposure to enterprise automation, AI-enabled workflows, and platform modernisation • Clear growth path toward Technical Lead and Architect roles, with flexibility to evolve into functional or delivery leadership roles. • Opportunity to shape how OutSystems is delivered at scale across the ASEAN region. At SimplifyNext, we’re committed to building a team of curious, driven, and forward-thinking individuals who care deeply about creating meaningful impact through technology. If you’re excited by the opportunity to grow, collaborate, and shape the future of digital transformation across the region, we’d be happy to hear from you.
