Theatre Nurse [WCAN]

• Provide perioperative nursing support to surgeons and the multidisciplinary operating theatre team during operative procedures. • Perform Scrub Nurse and Anaesthetic Unit Nurse responsibilities according to applicable clinical protocols, procedures and professional standards. • Ensure accurate, complete and timely documentation relating to operative and perioperative nursing care. • Coordinate with relevant clinical and support units to facilitate safe and efficient patient transport and transfer. • Escort and orientate patients during transfers and provide appropriate support to promote safety, comfort and continuity of care. • Provide post-operative recovery care and monitor patients for changes in condition, escalating concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals. • Participate in the review and continuous improvement of nursing protocols, policies, procedures and service practices. • Perform other relevant nursing duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
