Senior / Staff Nurse (Infection Control) (Jurong East | Up to $6500 | Office Hours) #HGN

Job Responsibilities: * Facilitate, implement and evaluate hospital-wide infection control programmes to provide a safe environment for the prevention and control of infection. * Assist and collaborate with the Nurse Clinician (NC) or Senior Nurse Manager (SNM) to develop plans that support full participation at unit / ward level in meeting Infection Control (IC) policies and guidelines. * Ensure staff practices comply with hospital infection control protocols and address non-conforming practices by reinforcing good clinical practices during daily ward rounds. * Assist in investigating outbreaks of infection or studies identified by the Infection Control Committee. * Support the systematic collection and recording of healthcare-associated infections. * Assist in the management of outbreaks involving the hospital, campus and national level. * Work with the Nurse Clinician in planning and evaluating Infection Control audits and training programmes, including preparedness exercises for pandemic outbreaks. * Support the Infection Control team in sharing research and projects at conferences and seminars, including publication of infection control research and projects. * Teach and orientate new nursing staff and other personnel assigned to the department. * Evaluate the effectiveness of patient education programmes conducted by units / wards. Requirements: - Valid SNB and BCLS - Relevant infection prevention and control experience - Relevant Advanced Nursing Diploma or equivalent infection prevention and control experience is preferred for candidates applying for the Senior Staff Nurse position.
