Food Service Assistant [EL]

• Support the kitchen team in preparing ingredients and food items for daily operations. • Assist with washing, cutting, portioning and other basic food preparation tasks. • Assist cooks with meal preparation, plating and serving as required. • Keep kitchen areas, utensils, equipment and work surfaces clean and hygienic. • Wash, clean and properly store kitchen utensils, cookware and equipment. • Assist in receiving and organising food supplies and ensure ingredients are stored appropriately. • Check food ingredients for freshness and quality and promptly report any issues. • Comply with food hygiene, food safety and workplace safety requirements. • Carry out other duties related to kitchen operations as assigned.
