Accountant (Commodities)

Our client is a leading global commodities MNC with an established international presence across multiple markets. The Finance team supports a fast-paced Commodity and Financial Services business, where the role will provide exposure to financial accounting, trading-related activities and a dynamic business environment. We are looking for an Accountant who is detail-oriented, analytical and keen to develop their expertise within the commodities and financial services space. Key Responsibilities • Handle day-to-day accounting activities, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and cash & bank functions • Prepare monthly journal entries and support month-end closing activities • Ensure timely processing and settlement of financial obligations • Assist with tax, audit and other financial reporting requirements • Maintain accurate accounting records, documentation and internal controls • Work closely with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting queries and issues • Support ad-hoc finance and accounting projects as required Requirements • Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline • Relevant experience in financial accounting or external audit, preferably within commodities, trading, financial services or derivatives-related businesses • Experience with SAP is an advantage • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications • Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail • Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities • Self-motivated, proactive and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment • Able to work independently and meet deadlines • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach How to Apply Submit your application by emailing a detailed copy of your updated Resume in MS Word Format to Teoh Yee Ling (EA Personnel Reg.
