Accounts Executive[/Experience using Oracle NetSuite system is required/Central/Construction company]

Roles & Responsibilities Job Description • Assist in the setup, testing, and implementation of the new accounting system, including providing user support and assisting with training for office and project site personnel. • Assist in preparing and communicating system-related information, process updates, and user guidelines to ensure the smooth adoption of the accounting system. • Assist the Accounts General Manager in customizing financial reports to comply with Japan Head Office reporting formats, new financial reporting requirements under updated financial standards, GST reporting formats, and income tax reporting requirements for submission to the tax agent. • Assist in finance system enhancement initiatives, including banking integrations, InvoiceNow implementation, and other system-related projects as assigned. • Liaise with software vendors, IT personnel, and system users to assist in resolving system-related issues and escalate matters when necessary. • Verify and process supplier and subcontractor invoices in the accounting system to ensure transactions are accurately recorded and payments are processed according to the required timelines. • Review petty cash claims and staff reimbursement submissions, update the relevant schedules, and ensure expenses are properly recorded. • Verify payment supporting documents and process payment batches in accordance with company procedures and payment schedules. • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and Japan Head Office. • Assist the Assistant Accounts Manager and Accounts General Manager with annual audit activities involving external auditors, income tax computations for the tax agent, and GST audits. • Perform other accounting, reporting, and administrative duties as assigned by management. Job Requirements • Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline. • Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience. • Experience with Oracle NetSuite will be an advantage. • Good knowledge of GST requirements and basic financial reporting practices. • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders. • Meticulous, organised, and able to work independently while meeting deadlines.
