Laboratory Resource Support Executive

Job Description • Provide teaching and learning support to Science teachers, including preparation of laboratory resources and materials. • Organise, label and maintain records of Science teaching materials, lab resources and loan records. • Pack and maintain Science rooms to ensure they are clean, organised and conducive for lessons. • Check lab equipment, materials and specimens, and conduct regular stock-takes. • Maintain stock and breakage records and arrange replacement of damaged or missing items when required. • Ensure proper disposal of laboratory waste, including sharp objects and chemicals. • Support laboratory safety and maintain incident records when necessary. • Check first aid supplies and ensure laboratory safety equipment is in good working condition. • Provide administrative and logistical support for Science competitions, assessments and programmes. • Assist with laboratory safety briefings and equipment awareness sessions. • Perform other duties assigned by the School Requirements • Minimum Nitec / Higher Nitec (ITE) in Science or a related field, or equivalent. • At least 1 year of experience supporting Science laboratory operations and administrative duties. • Experience supporting Science programmes, STEM, sustainability projects and laboratory-based lessons in schools. • Proficient in preparing and maintaining laboratory equipment. • Good digital and administrative skills, including Google Forms, Excel and booking systems. • Good interpersonal, communication, planning and analytical skills. • Experience working with primary school students is preferred. • Able to work independently and as part of a team. • Standard First Aid certification is an advantage
