Staff Nurse - Emergency Department

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ▪ To render professional nursing care to patients within assigned unit of the hospital as part of the patient total care plan as directed by the Manager according to the objectives and policies of the hospital. ▪ Moving casualties from vehicles to Emergency Room safely. ▪ Triage patient upon arrival and set priorities. Perform appropriate investigation and nursing intervention after completion of triage. ▪ Perform nursing procedure such as Ryle’s tube insertion, dressing, cannulation and diagnostic /therapeutic procedures such as ECG, Blood sugar and nebulizer. ▪ Work closely with doctors in providing care and treatment to patients and identify gaps in patient’s care. ▪ Assist in procedures by doctors such as Toilet and Suturing, Chest tube insertion and others. ▪ Carry out routine tasks such as checking of crash cart, DDA floor stock and other related equipment. ▪ Manage patients admission, discharges and referral to other hospital. ▪ Manage ambulance services – attending to calls and getting the services to patients. ▪ Participate in continuing education program both internal and external. ▪ Liaise with clinical and non-clinical departments accordingly. ▪ Adhere to Infection Control protocols for self and others safety as directed by Infection Control Manager and team. Job Requirements: • SRN registered with Malaysian Nursing Board. • Must possess annual practicing license. • Certificate in post basic Emergency Nursing or/ and Degree in Nursing. • Competent in Nursing. • Independent and work with minimal supervision. • Fresh graduates encourage to apply.
